I used to work the overnight shift at CVS in Natick and a co-worker suggested I could get a burger there even in the morning (after working all night its hard to settle for breakfast food). I decided to try it since they boast a $4.50 1/2 pound burger but add cheese, bacon and mushrooms and it comes to over ten bucks, I was disappointed with the price and felt ripped off after leaving although the owner was really nice I won’t be back anytime soon.

Just like Lloyd’s Diner, this was another regular lunch stop when I worked at JC Automall (when it was still on Union Ave.). Cozy, quick, cheap, and filling. Great joint.

I forget the price for eggs, I do remeber thinking it wasn’t dirt cheap, ($16) for a simple breakfast but then we did get sausage and bacon, Ethan got a large chocolate milk, coffee not included..I don’t know I guess it must have been $6 or $7 a plate, plus drinks & tax.

How were the prices for your eggs?

It seems that diners/breakfast spots like this always have instant decaf. Wilson’s Diner in Waltham uses Sanka, and he does tell people that when asked for decaf.

I’m glad you seemed to enjoy it at Bill’s…my dad owned it through the early 80s, and I grew up working in the back, then slinging eggs on the grill. My dad still laments selling it, but those 4:00am wake-up calls were killer.
