I went to the Chicken Bone for the first time last night and I thought it was excellent. Like others, I have been avoiding it for the 4 years I've lived here because to me it just seemed kind of skeevy. But the food was great and the service was really friendly. Two thumbs up :)

Michelle -- Boneless??

One more thing.. someone commented on how the old sign said "featuring the food of wings2u" I always thought that was odd as well... but speaking of odd things on signs in Framingham -- does anybody know why the sign for Hartford St. Pizza says "Mozie" underneath the name? Even when they changed their sign and put a new one on, it still said that. Who is Mozie? This has been perplexing me for years lol...

Ordered a few times but have never been there. Really should go in, one of this days. Yes, the wings are amazing and they can make them real spicy like "atomic" spicy. Btw, cool blog you got there. Started a metrowest forum some time ago but it does not seem to take off. I see there's a Framingham forum, wow, didn't even know. Cheers.

Hi Foppy,
It looks like wingszu but it's really Wings 2 U. They deliver and 1-800-WINGS2U is also their phone number.
So no need to fear some weird cooking process or strange mascot, it's really great food. Bring the wife some night and check it out.
Thanks for reading!

Can anybody shed any light on the meaning of the sign outside the CBS that says "Featuring the cuisine of Wingszu"?

Is Wingszu a person? If so, does he (she) dress up in a costume of some kind? I see in my mind a sort of a human-sized martial-arts chicken--is that close? Does Wingszu actually hang out there and talk to people, or is he behind the scenes?

Or (another guess) is Wingszu a sort of franchised cooking process? I guess Kentucky Fried Chicken used to be that, before they opened their own restaurants.

Anyway I really don't want to go there until I find out who or what Wingszu is.

Thanks for the great blog. My wife and I read it every day.

Yes, the Bone is really good.

As for the crowd... well, I moved to the 'ham in '99, and I even though I had heard about the great wings, I avoided the Chicken Bone for a couple of years because of the general look of the place. Finally, I got over it (after hearing that some PTO ladies would go there after meetings!), and I checked it out. I've since gotten takeout there quite a number of times, and I've found that the crowd is usually made up of mostly middle-aged folks (granted, I usually go between 7pm and 9:30pm).
