The FHS softball team had its banquet at the Columbus Club in 1995 (or maybe it was 1996?) … all because of our favorite bus driver, Mr. Merloni!

Great post.

My father worker at Concept behind the old Long Pontiac for years. I worked there a bit myself and know that neighborhood well.

I had a step uncle that was a member and used to see him go quite a bit from there. Never had to nerve to try it myself. He was a member, but lived near the Masons Hall in Framingham. I always thought that was odd in itself.

That was an interesting posting about the Columbus Club.

My kids were very active in Marian High School’s drama group when they were at Marian, and I attended several “end of the year” drama banquets at the Columbus Club. I also attended a 25th wedding anniversary party there for a good friends of ours a few years ago. I think the Columbus Club kind of looks like a “dump” on the outside BUT is definitely nicer on the inside. I am not sure who made the food at the events I attended, but it was very good food!
