The FHS softball team had its banquet at the Columbus Club in 1995 (or maybe it was 1996?) ... all because of our favorite bus driver, Mr. Merloni!

THANKS TO THE MANAGER, JANET SANCHIONI EPSTEIN.
SHE TURNED COLUMBUS CLUB AROUND WITH HER FEMININE TASTE.GREAT LADY..... SHE CAN REALLY RUN THE SHOW.
WOULD YOU BELIEVE A WOMAN IN A CLUB WHICH IS RESTRICTED TO MEN ONLY OF ITALIAN HERITAGE. IF NOT, CAN BE A SOCIAL MEMBER.

CONGRATULATIONS, LAURIE LEE!!!

Thanks for the great post about our fun luncheon, Michelle!

The guys at the Columbus Club were very welcoming and hospitable and the food was wonderful. Thanks, everyone, for a fun wrap-up to a perfect campaign for Board of Selectmen.

Great post.

My father worker at Concept behind the old Long Pontiac for years. I worked there a bit myself and know that neighborhood well.

I had a step uncle that was a member and used to see him go quite a bit from there. Never had to nerve to try it myself. He was a member, but lived near the Masons Hall in Framingham. I always thought that was odd in itself.

Thanks for brining back those memories.

That was an interesting posting about the Columbus Club.

My kids were very active in Marian High School's drama group when they were at Marian, and I attended several "end of the year" drama banquets at the Columbus Club. I also attended a 25th wedding anniversary party there for a good friends of ours a few years ago. I think the Columbus Club kind of looks like a "dump" on the outside BUT is definitely nicer on the inside. I am not sure who made the food at the events I attended, but it was very good food!
