Hello - nothing on the site about the recent developments. I called today, they are still open and will be for a week or two. They said "certainly not through Christmas".

I'll miss the open faced hot turkey sandwich the most!

When I was in high school (FNHS, thank you very much), my sister tried to fix me up with Stephanie Gerard. She was cute, but there was no chemistry, alas. We did often load up on their frozen turkey tetrazinni, which I remember as being very good.

Their BBQ is also great....fall off the bone and flavorful. Alas, only offered 4-6:30 p.m. from M-F. Again, limited times. I agree - that's the only drawback. Maybe Summer hours might have extended times....

I've always loved their "Thanksgiving" sandwich. I've also picked up dinners in their freezer cases. It's very handy when you're short on time.

The only thing I would wish for is that they were open on Saturdays. It's tough to get there during the week when you work. They'd probably do a booming business on Saturday too.

I remember as a kid we used to stop at Gerard Farms in Marshfield (I think) on our way to Humarock.

I never even think of the one on Water Street. To me it is a forgotten area.

My daughter is playing softball at Walsh, so maybe a trip to GF will be in the very near future......

They also have great trays of food that you can pick up. I brought a tray of their mac & cheese to an office holiday potluck and everyone was going back for more. Ialso like their fresh breads and pies- especially the pumpkin loaf.

I have had their sandwiches many times. They ARE yummy! Your picture makes me crave one RIGHT NOW. :) They also make a great picnic item or to bring to the beach. I love their salad and dressing it's sweet and tangy.

I agree, they are good, the one thing I wish was different is the price of the ice cream. We are a family of 5 and it is very expensive to get a cone. Although, this is a problem at most places. Why is ice cream so expensive? I do like the turkey sandwiches, and the pot pies are good, too. And the dinners are priced reasonably.
