I stay away from this intersection except late at night, even on the weekends it blows. If I have to cross 126 from 135 eastbound I will go through ashland (well almost) as its quicker.

I also avoid that area like the plague, if I can. I'll go way out of the way to go by Loring to avoid those downtown intersections. But on Saturday afternoon I went through there from 126 all the way to Ashland barely even tapping the brake. I couldn't believe it...

Can you imagine the fees , licenses and how many times you would have to go before the board to get a bridge over the street? It's easier to stay out. Funny things is haven't the towm managers been asking us to do business downtown? I drive thorugh there alot and I think you had a lucky day with the lights. If nothing else it makes a good picture. Thanks

Even if the lights are synced, I'll still hate that intersection! Getting out of the north side train lot to run to Shopper's World is still a pain. If it's not cars improperly stopped in the middle of the intersection, it's the pedestrians running across the street (not in the cross walks which the town has every fifty feet). I really wish Framingham had put bridges over the tracks like Wellesley, Newton and Natick...

Recently, I encountered a situation at that intersection with both green and red lights in conflict as in the 2007 photo so I don't think much has changed.

I seem to recall reading that the town was making an effort to adjust the lights (especially the timing of them) to help reduce traffic in downtown.
