Anyone remember having a photograph in their 8th (?) grade math book? I shouldn't admit it but I spent a lot of time in the area of Flutie's Path when it was woods and a stream.

The Google image archive has some great old photos of Shoppper's World. Unfortunately they listed the location as "Farmingham".

Hello - I was wondering if you might have contact information for the "natickmass.info" sister site on the history of the Shoppers World Cinema regarding a photo inquiry.

I'm very impressed by this site and the others I've seen that deal with the fascinating history of Shoppers World. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find site contact info on any of them! :)

There was a lot wrong with Shoppers World, but I'll contend it had 10 times the charm of the new one. Now it is a generic big-box strip mall, not intended for casual browsing.

I was at the get-together last Saturday. (And I look forward to the hinted-at exhibit in 2010) I don't think anyone had on rose-colored glasses about the old Shoppers World. It was simply a more intimate, family-friendly, serendipity-inducing shopping experience.

That said, when the new mall is eventually torn down, there will probably be plenty of people with nostalgic tales about it, too.

While shoppers world was a big part of framingham history it was an ugly eyesore on route nine. When i look at photos of route nine then and now i think we are on the right track...smaller signs , more trees and landscaping.
Its nice to have memories of the past especially when we can see our progress towards a better future for Framingham.

Will there be anything as far as display or otherwise available to view following the Saturday morning event? Further, will the roundtable be recorded in any way (audio and/or video)? Been looking forward to this since your first mention of it; however, Saturday is one of the rare Saturday mornings that I have another commitment. Sounds like a great event!
