Used to lunch here regularly when I worked at the JC Automall (when it was still on Union Ave.). Love these diners. I especially like Casey's Diner in Natick, which is also on the register and a Worcester Lunch Car. Thanks for the pic!

Worcester Lunch Car Company #783, originally Whit's Diner in Orange, MA. It's on the National Register of Historic Places!

I've never been inside Lloyd's Diner although I've often wondered about it. Thanks for the review. I typically park in the Loring Arena lot to watch the marathon so I drive right by it.

Being a one-time resident of Worcester (immediately following Framingham) I'm a big fan of the train-car diner. Many of them were built in the second-largest city in the Commonwealth. I wonder if Lloyd's is among them?

And I can't resist a mention of Martin Sexton's song "Diner" about just these eateries:

Good stuff.

It must be Mrs. Lloyd's daughter because the girl I worked with isn't married and is in her late 20's/early 30's. Â
