They can check the welds (repair if required), sandblast/sand, than fresh paint. Good and worthy project for the students. It should be saved. I used to love that thing but it was eventually torn up and replaced with an all wooden playground. Think they're making an open space there or is it just some landscaping? The last time I was at Farm Pond I walked across the dam and saw a huge dead snapping turtle, belly-up, about 50' from where some kids were fishing. I'll have to get back there soon to put this "the last time I was at Farm Pond" story to rest! It looks like they’re doing some tree clearing down by the catelpillar.
