I am a town employee here in framingham and would like to thank you for your article regarding the R.D.C. facility. The guys you met do not make boat loads of money. But are some of the hardest working people in the town. I see them every morning and can tell you they are a genuine group of guys that are friendly and enjoy what they do. I wish more people could recognize all the hard work that goes into operating a facility such as that. Thank you again for your a great article.

I use the recycling center all the time. It's really handy if you forget to put out the recycling bin or somehow miss the truck during the week. I only wish they would expand the list of items that they accept. They won't take 'building materials' which for some reason includes wall to wall carpeting. They also won't allow you to drop off leaves, etc. in a vehicle that isn't registered to a Framingham address. I wanted to borrow a friend's truck last fall to bring some leaves over but they said I couldn't. I had to resort to the landscaper cartel to remove my leaves (way too many to bag).

I'm so impressed with the friendly attitude of the employees, I wanted to second Michelle's opinion here. I've been to both the recycle center and yard-waste dump a number of times (with Michelle and without) and they're always startingly pleasant and helpful.

In addition, it's always such a great feeling to get rid of some junk.

My day job is Tech Support. Friendly gets you a lot further than hostile, but false cheer is usually easy to detect. Kudos to those who show the real thing!
