Awesome. I was just commenting to my wife the other day about the 3 metal poles that are still up at the corner of Speen Street & Route 30. They held one of the Shopper's World signs. I took some photos at the mall shortly before it closed. I will try to find them.

I have fond memories of the "concerts on the green" which were conducted on the lawn/courtyard at the Route 30 end...

I moved to framingham in 1969 and lived there until 1990....but continued to commute there for my job until 2003. I have very fond memories of taking my children in the late 60s early 70s to the playground at shoppers world. It was in the courtyard and the kids loved it. We also got them shoes at hanlon shoes..home store was in downtown natick. There was also, i believe, a big toy store at the rte 30 end of shoppers world and also a stop and shop I frequented. I also went to Casual Corner on the bottom level of shoppers world for my own clothes. Nothing was better than finishing up all the errands and taking home some great jordan marsh blueberry muffins. As the years went on we also had the great joan and ed's deli which is now in the former sherwood plaza across route 9. I don't remember if the movie theater was always at shoppers world but that was a favorite spot too.

sounds great, Michelle! Ihope I can attend the Dec. 5 event. I must admit, I'd probably love working there, too! I am a huge history buff and in fact I have a B.A. in History from Stonehill College. It's hard to believe I've lived in Framingham so long now (almost 23 years) that I remember some of the recent history such as the old Shopper's World, Duca's, Wallace's restaurant, etc.!
