A lot of Mexican places are charging higher prices. If it's good food, I'm happy to pay the price. I especially like fish cooked Mexican style.

I'm from Natick--don't live there now--but I love The Aztec. It's easily the best Mexican in the area, and frankly, the best Mexican I've been to in the Boston area. It's certainly better than the chains, and it's better than any of the more happening Boston Mex joints like The Cactus Club. I'm particularly impressed by the carne asada.

You're right on the guac, though; I think they use too much sour cream and not enough avocado.

Great blog! Who knew you could write something interesting and new about Framingham on a near-daily basis?

BTW, have you written about the Jewish deli off the offramp from Route 9 West to Edgell Road? It's very good, and it's the best Jewish deli in the area since G and G Deli, formerly by Fairway Bowling in Natick, closed. Try their corned beef or pastrami.

Daniela's was possibly the worst experience we have ever had with Mexican food, and am surprised it has any defenders. The Aztec does a good breakfast too!

I have been to Daniela's a couple of times and never was charged for chips and salsa. In fact they brought a small dish of beans and cheese for our toddler, which she loved, with no charge on the bill. I love the Aztec too, but the menu is a bit limited. For more variety I find Daniela's a good substitute. Love the Al Gore comment, Nancy, and very true.

Love, love, love the Aztec. Once we were there on a Saturday night around 6 and there was a guy playing guitar and singing in Spanish. I don't know if that's a regular thing. BTW, love your site! It's what Al Gore invented the web for!

Loved the Aztec, they were so attentive to us when we were there. Danielles Cantinia however, run and don't bother even getting a Corona there. They make you PAY for your salsa and chips... who ever heard of that!!
