I worked at La Cantina in the mid- to late-70s and knew Fanny. She was a wonderful person and we loved the salad dressing. It was a real family type place with Phil, the two Leos, Joe the Pizza Man, Phil’s wife, Natalie (her mom) and a bunch of other nice people working there.

The comment about Framingham being the Salad Dressing Capital of the World had me laughing. But it is true! Don’t forget that Gerard Farms has their own dressing too!

This is fabulous with salad of locally grown (of course) tomatoes and mozzarella cheese!

I love Fanny’s dressing so I’m excited to try this variety. And between Fanny’s and Ken’s Steak House, I think we should consider calling Framingham the Salad Dressing Capital of the World.

I love Fanny’s dressing! I am so happy to hear they have expanded their selection. Why is it that the dressing s so good, from La Cantina, and the food is so lousy?

Hey - La Cantina (and Fanny’s dressing) was featured tonight on Chronicle’s show about the Metrowest towns along Rte. 135! (The segment they did on Natick was particularly nice.)

I love Fanny’s original “lite” dressing — it doesn’t have any of that artificial flavor or guar-gummy texture. I’ll have to keep an eye out for the balsamic version now, too!
