Wings Over Framingham coming at some point

March 24th, 2009

I didn’t get to take a picture yesterday of the whole building so I’m just using an old photo taken of the old car dealership  in front of Walgreen’s on rt. 135.  Thanks to a tip from a nice reader, I found out that in this building, but to the right (and just cut out of this picture) is where a restaurant called “Wings Over Framingham” will be probably sometime in April.  I walked up to the window yesterday and saw they have some tables and chairs and a menu posted inside. ???? ?????

I know Framingham already has the awesome Chicken Bone less than a mile from here and on the same street, but I’m happy to see this moving in.  Ethan was thinking maybe Framingham will become the Buffalo Wing capital of Metrowest! onecard fawry

  1. I, too, think that’s great! We need positive progress and healthy development in the downtown Framingham area. If Framingham became the Buffalo Wing capital of MetroWest or even of Massachusetts, that would be really cool!

  2. Is this going to be a pub/bar (like the Bone) or will it be more of a family style place? Does anyone know?

Thank you for posting this information and I agree with Reverend Baril – this is a positive for the downtown area.

  4. It is not a bar place, actually it prides itself on it’s delivery business and its late hours of operation and delivery. It can be used as a sit down place but I doubt there will be waitresses or anything.

Can’t wait though Chicken Bone has gone downhill, Anastacias on Union Ave in Framingham puts Chicken Bone to shame on buffalo wings and tenders. Seriously try them out they are perfect. Sorry Chicken Bone you have been taken down a peg.

  5. I checked their website and it shows an announcement from Jan 2009 that Wings Over Framingham opened, and includes it in their locations with phone number, etc…

  9. The store is mainly pickup and delivery with limited seating as you see in the picture. We have been working on opening ASAP, but there have been delays. The store should be open no later than Mid may, and I will post here when a date is confirmed. Feel free to send any questions to itsupport@wingsover.com or join the Wings Over Framingham facebook page.
