Logan Express

February 26th, 2009

When I went to Oregon a couple of weeks ago I decided to take Logan Express.  At first I preferred to have Ethan drive me in to Boston but then I figured, he would have been just in time to hit the out-bound rush hour traffic, plus all the tolls and the time away from work to make the trip both ways.  So instead I opted for the Logan Express bus and it’s actually a pretty good system.  They run every half hour during the week, you can buy one-way or round trip tickets and it stops at every terminal and then you’re on your way.

I thought pick-up from the airport might be confusing but the buses pick up right outside of baggage claim and then, same thing (picking up people at terminals) and then you get dropped off back at the station in Framingham.
I don’t fly a lot but this is very convenient to have and I’m glad Massport decided to make Framingham one of the 4 locations they offer this service to.

You can check out their website for  more info: http://www.massport.com/logan/getti_logan_frami.html

Family fun on Learned Pond

February 23rd, 2009

Living next to Learned Pond, we see people boating, fishing, swimming and causing the occasional ruckus on the beach in the warmer weather.  It’s always nice to see people using it in the winter too.
This was a nice little scene I saw the other day of what seemed to be a family or multi-family ice recreation station.  Although I always get so nervous about people on frozen water (especially since there were puddles on the ice), it was heartening to see people having a good time within viewing distance of, yet a whole neighborhood away from our house.  I almost wanted to walk across the pond and see if they’d take me in and let me be a part of their winter fun-land 🙂

The economy has hit

February 18th, 2009

So…the national news has hit home and I got laid off from my job.  I feel like such a statistic, but the only thing to do is brush myself off and get reacquainted with the job search process. ????? ????? ???????    I figured it would be worth a shot to post my resume here and if anyone knows of anything that fits my experience, please feel free to contact me.

My educational background is in the Arts but since I have a mortgage to keep up with, most of my professional background is in Project Management, Office Management and Event Coordination.  I also dabble in IT support (since it just became part of my former jobs).  I specialize in people and organization skills. ?? ??? ???   I’ve worked in corporate, higher education and non-profit environments.  Also, I’m looking for a full-time position.

Below is just a quick image of my resume but I have included links to Word and PDF versions. ?? ???? ?????   Thanks in advance for any leads!

Georgio’s Pizza

February 16th, 2009

Georgio’s is on Concord Street in Saxonville.    As I’ve mentioned before we don’t get up to  good ol’ Saxonville that much but we had time during the week and finally wanted to check out Gerard’s sandwiches I’ve heard so much about but when we pulled into the parking lot we saw a note on the door saying they were on vacation so for some reason we went here instead.
We decided to share a cheese pizza which was just okay, Ethan thought it was one of the worst pizzas ever. ????? ????   It’s cardboardy crust, flavorless sauce and bland cheese just didn’t do it for him.
Maybe it was an off day, who knows. ???? ????   I did like that they make their own soups, so I’d try one of those next time.

Cold Turkeys

February 4th, 2009

Driving to my weekend job at the Sherborn Out, I drive behind the prison and it becomes the cusp between downtown blah and beautiful Sherborn”countryside”.  I came across a band of turkeys crossing the road. will ivermectin in heartworm medicine kill maggots? Of course once I got the camera out they all made their way into the woods but I’m always amazed how anything outside of a house lives in the winter especially when we the cold weather we had last week.
Anyway, it was nice to see some “nature”. james and davey ivermectin
