Major work being done on the old Border’s book store next to Ken’s.
Unfortunately, work permits do not yield much information except the owner is “Hanna Enterprises” and got permission to “weld/cut staircase” and a sign permit that states “WALL SIGN – SPRINT”. ??????  I’m really hoping SPRINT means a type of sign or something because it would be such a waste to have a cell phone store take up that space. betobet  I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. ????? ????? ????? ?????
Hanna is Ken’s (steakhouse) last name. I didn’t know they owned that building too. Probably means there won’t be another restaurant there.

It will be a cell phone store and Chipotle, the burrito joint from Denver. Upstairs tenant is unknown.

Denver-based Chipotle is partially owned by McDonalds (an IPO last fall divested McDonalds of total control.)

What goes around comes around. It was the phone company headquarters (back when there was only one phone company) before it was Borders. So now it’s a phone company store again, new style. It’s just a shame that Framingham couldn’t support Borders Books.
