Fill’er up!
July 26th, 2006
Last night we were walking by the Exxon Station at Hartford and Concord St. and I guess I haven’t been paying attention (as a bike commuter) but $2.95 a gallon is a great deal because people were lined up. We walked by later and there were still cars lined up and holding up traffic to get in there. I’m guessing it could have gone up by this morning but if anyone is in the area you could check it out and get some cheap(er) gas.
Every Tuesday is discount day. I think it is 10 cents a gallon cheaper on Tues. I personally would rather avoid that madness than save $1.50. It is truly a madhouse on Tuesdays.

Ah, I didn’t even think of that.
Yeah I don’t know if 10รยข a gallon is worth dealing with that insanity.

The one at Nobscot was $2.99/gallon when we filled up Monday morning and there weren’t any lines (I forget if it was the Mobil or Exxon, whichever one is next to the Jiffy Lube). They’re usually priced above average so $2.95 doesn’t seem that cheap to me. I think most people are “trained” to look at the price per gallon and never calculate how small the price difference is for an entire tank.
Enjoying your blog!

The new station at the Speen/Naked Fish is $2.97
Still a good deal with no lines.
