Slade Animal Hospital

September 17th, 2007

It was time to take our cat, Clyde to the vet for the first time since we’ve had him.  I go by Slade all the time and figured it was close and looked like a nice building so we brought him there. ????? ?????

The inside was nice and clean and didn’t like some other vet offices I’ve been in. ???? ????????   The receptionist was really nice and there is plenty of seating so we sat clyde down (in his carrier) where he meowed and stared at some dogs until the doctor was ready to see him.

The doctor was nice and honest, I didn’t feel like she tried to talk us into any shots or treatments Clyde didn’t need and was cool and patient with Clyde even though he wasn’t at his most charming. casino888

I was happy with our experince here (although I can’t say the same for Clyde) and it helps to only have a 2 minute drive since Clyde hates the car too.

No Loitering

September 12th, 2007

While waiting at the stoplight by the Salvation Army, I noticed that they placed potted trees at the base of the windows.  The base has a little shelf-like area that was popular for people to hang out on.

I thought it was interesting because I didn’t think the Salvation Army thought that much about how the outside looked.
I wonder if people will just move the trees and sit there anyway.

Hair Cuttery

September 11th, 2007

I decided to try out Hair Cuttery at 74 Maint St., not to be confused with the other Hair Cuttery on Route 9 that is a national chain.
This Hair Cuttery is a local business that I often go by and wanted to see what it was like in there and happened to need a haircut so, there I went. securom failed to initialize sims 4

It’s pleasant looking inside with a seperate men’s and women’s side. onde comprar ivermectina no rio de janeiro

The woman who cut my hair was really nice and knew what she was doing.
I didn’t worry about her pulling some weird move and making me look like some sort of hair experiment.
At for a haircut, with no blow dry I did find it a little expensive though, but it’s such a nice experince I’d probably go back anyway. anitta é ivermectina

Walgreens now open

September 6th, 2007

It seemed like it took a long time for the new Walgreens on 624 Waverly St. to open.  I didn’t even realize it was open until I thought of checking up on it’s progress.
It’s right on the outskirts of downtown, but I think it’s a great addition to the area, it’s an alright looking building, that is clean and a store that I have business going to.
I was impressed with their Halloween display, complete with hanging caged ghouls.

Most impressive was their drink selection.  I think they had every drink that is currently available (except TAB) Little things like that really make a difference (especially when I’m thirsty)

I guess I have to say this is a “yay” even though it’s just a drug store, I’m glad it’s there and think it’s good for the area.

Fun Quest: Annie’s 1-stop Laundry

September 4th, 2007

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m hoping the Good Time Emporium will open up in Natick, I’m still baffled by the Game Corner and under whelmed with the changes at Fun and Games.  There just doesn’t seem to be anywhere to go spend some quarters, besides a laundromat.  Well coincidentally, I was passing by Annie’s 1-stop laundry (I forget the address but it’s on 135 across from the Richardson Building) the other day I spotted a pinball machine and some video games in the window and made a little note to myself: “Check out Annie’s 1-stop”.

Ethan, being the definition of a good sport, went with me to check it out.  The video games were kind of lame, one was a shooting game called “Target Terror” and the other was a driving game that just didn’t look interesting, something about the key pad and making calls when you’re driving(?) was just off.  But the real reason I wanted to go there was for the pinball machine.

It’s a Monopoly machine that wasn’t too great to play for some reason.  The ball kept going straight down the middle where my flippers couldn’t reach and struck out pretty fast.  Ethan gave it a go and while he played a bit longer than me, he also thought the game was kind of boring.

Not the best discovery but if anyone needs a pinball fix, I think this is the only machine around.  If anyone knows of another one let me know.

Coincidence??

August 30th, 2007

Ethan and I were watching TV last week and in this show’s ending credits there was a guy named Maurice, I forget his last name but I thought “That’s a name I never hear of, I’ve never even known anyone named Maurice.”  Unless I counted “Maurice the Pants Man” and even then, I didn’t know him, just the name of the store.
It was weird to remember that, I asked Ethan if he remembered that store, he said no and I moved on to thinking about something else.
The next day I found myself waiting in the lobby of an office building and looking through some books that were out on the table.  I found one about metrowest, opened it up and on the first page I opened to I saw this:

Upon closer inspection I saw this:

Maurice the freakin’ Pants Man!!!
When I got home I immediately told Ethan about how weird it is that I hadn’t thought about Maurice the Pants Man in forever and then I did, and then the next day I randomly see the sign in a book.  I said that HAS to mean something.  Ethan, being the more rational of the two of us, thought it was a little weird but that was all.  I kept saying “No , it must mean something, don’t you think??”  Finally,  knowing the only answer that would satisfy me, he gave up and said “I guess that means he’s coming back then”.
I realize M the PM most likely is not coming back and I probably wouldn’t care that much if he did but I thought it should mean something.   Weird coincidence anyway.

Tony the pavement guy

August 29th, 2007

I don’t know Tony, but like an artist signing a finished masterpiece, he autographed the Ruby Tuesday’s parking lot with his pavement-crack sealing skills.  I think it’s great he takes such pride in his work, looks like he did a good job and I’ll keep my eyes open to his future work.  Nice job Tony!
