Stairs are getting fixed!

July 17th, 2009

I just wanted to share this beautiful site at the Memorial building. The stairs are finally getting fixed/replaced and I’m really looking forward to seeing the finished product!

  1. I remember taking a small chunk from those stairs when they were crumbling back in 1991…after leaving a high school dance at Marian and wandering down there with a girl I liked.

  2. That is wonderful!! Will there also be a handicapped ramp? I really hope that is included in the plans! People should be able to gain entry into that building (at least to the main floor) without going to that dark alley in the back parking lot to get to the elevator. They should be welcomed right into the front door.

  3. Glad these are finally getting fixed, my buddy broke his hearing aid there once and it took forever for them to pay him back. Now maybe they can fix the rodent problem near Wal-Mart.

  4. Tim, the easiest way to do that would be to get rid of Wal-Mart

  5. I noticed this, and I’m kind of worried. The side walk on Fraklin St. across from TD BankNorth’s ATM machine had brick and looked very nice, and now is being updated and no longer sports the brick look.

I know this might be a minor gripe, but really, I hope that they keep to the theme of the building and don’t do anything that looks plain and that might not match the building.
