Flashback: Friendly Laundromat

September 14th, 2006

A few nights ago we were walking down to “Big Town Pantry” to get an ice cream and then decided to walk around the rest of “Sad Plaza“.
I’ve noticed Friendly Cleaner/ Laundromat before but never went in so I decided to take a look. can you buy ivermectin over the counter in mexico
I have this thing for older stuff, and was impressed with the machines in this place. These yellow and orange monsters look like they took a licking but keep on ticking. ivermectin pferd kaufen

They also have an old logo Pepsi machine and then I saw they even had the old labels on the buttons. fda aprova ivermectina I miss those wavy lines and the font for Diet Pepsi!  The most impressive part was that it’s only 75¢ for a can.  Nice!

Justice!

September 7th, 2006

This SUV parks all the time at the corner of Evergreen and Learned right at Framingham Union Hospital. It’s well past the “No parking from here to corner” sign and the other night I saw it finally got a ticket.  Ambulances round this corner all the time I don’t know why this SUV feels it’s appropriate to create a difficult turn for them.  The sign is there for a reason but they think it’s their private parking spot.
Just a little pet peeve of mine : )

Garden in the Woods

September 5th, 2006

We went to Garden in the Woods a couple of weeks ago.  This time of year there aren’t a whole lot of flowers and there are labels for all these things I thought were just weeds but I guess that why they have this “Rock on!” exhibit now.  Although they did have turtles and cactus so that was something different. There were so many turtles in the pond- so cute, I wanted take them all home!
Here’s some of the rock art we saw:

I think I’d like to go again in the spring when everything is in bloom and I bet it’s pretty in the fall.
Maybe Tires in the Woods will be pretty in the fall too!

Pizza quest: Gianni’s

September 2nd, 2006

We finally got to Gianni’s. Great pizza, I’d say one of the best so far.  It’s an interesting operation. It was really busy and there were like 6 (maybe more?) guys behind the counter, all of them occupied doing something.  Most people seemed to have called in their order and knew the drill which was to walk up to the counter and just say their first name, no “Hi, um, I called in an order, it’s under Smith”.  It was just “Fred”, then one of the 6 guys would say “subs or pizza?” an exchange of money for food would be made and then it was on to the next first name.
I ordered our pizzas and one of the guys asked me for my name, said it would be 20 minutes and got back to work. ???? ????

We took a little stroll around Nobscot plaza while we waited.  When we got back I peered through the people waiting at the counter and a the guy who took my order looked up and saw me and said “Just about 5 more minutes Michelle”. ????? ??? ????   I don’t know why but I was impressed by that, I’ve never been there before and he remembered my name instead of remembering just what I ordered.  Maybe since all the other customers were such regulars I stood out because he never saw me before, I don’t know. ???? ?????
We got a plain and a Greek pizza, both very good:

Hey Ladieeees!

August 30th, 2006

You know what today is?  It’s Ladies day at Monro Muffler!  I’m going to put on a pretty dress and red lipstick and get my . ????? ??????? ?????? 99 oil change.  Maybe I’ll stand in the bay door and put one hand on my hip and say “Say fellas, what does a girl have to do to around here to get her oil changed?” and they’ll say “Uh, you pay $11.99 and take a seat in one of those chairs outside- and why are you talking like Mae West? ?? ?? ????????? ??????? “

It is interesting though, I thought only bars used “ladies night” (or day) to get more female customers.  I wonder if the guys fight over who gets to work Wednesdays. ?? ??? ????? ?????????

Come an’ git it!

August 23rd, 2006

On my way home today I saw a Global gas station on Waverly street (rt. 135), that has gas for $2.79.
It’s right downtown next to Dunkin’ Donuts.  Of course I have no idea about the quality of this gasoline but I’m sure it will make you car go.

Just thought I’d share.

Tease: The Game Corner

August 23rd, 2006

I ride by this place everyday on my way to work, it’s an old arcade that still has the games just sitting in there, doing nothing- such a shame!  I’d be wasting quarters here all the time if they were open since it’s so close to me but it looks like it’s been closed for a long time.
What’s the deal? Why keep these games just hanging around and why hasn’t the owner done anything with this space?  I’d love to just be able to take a look around inside but all I can see are the tops of the games in the windows and they visually blocked off the doors. It’s so bizarre to me.  I’d love to know the story behind this.

Maybe they’re waiting for a grand-re-opening : )
