The Framingham Civic League is holding a haunted house on Halloween night. This is right down the street from me and I’ve never been there yet so it’s a nice opportunity to check it out.

I don’t usually get into anything too political because it’s not the mission of this blog, but I felt I had to post about SMOC suing Framingham officials and even residents for expressing their opinions. I’m…speechless.

We decided to take a walk down to the old burying ground on Main St. We had been down here over the summer but I thought it might be nice to revisit in October with the foliage going and it really was pretty.
I like this cemetery because it has some really old graves. ??? ???? ??????? I was thinking this might have been the first burying ground in Framingham but there is a marker that states it was the site of the first school house. I don’t know if the school shared the space with graves at any point but maybe I’ll look it up sometime. ?????? ?????? ??? ?????????
There is a gated section for members of the Buckminster Family.
This is where one of the more interesting graves belonging to Joan Buckminster Marcy is. Of course now I’m curious about her.
This place (despite being so close to route 9) is a quiet, peaceful place to walk around and get a sense of Framingham’s history by looking at how old some of the stones are and checking out the engraving techniques and language used to describe people. If nothing else it’s just nice to walk around and look at the trees too. ?? ?? ???? ????? ?? ???? ?????
The Farm Stand was a local grocery store that was where Whole Foods is now.
I remember my parents taking us here a lot when my sisters and I were young. It seemed like they always ran into someone they knew here. It’s funny how that didn’t seem to happen at other grocery stores.
Too bad something like this probably couldn’t survive in either the Franklin St, (sad) Plaza or Nobscot Plaza where there are vacant grocery stores collecting dust (among other things).

I made a previous post about Skazka. I found it to be cold and unwelcoming there but they have such good lox that on occasion I go in there and a couple of days ago I had a decent experience there so I decided to post again about this place. ?????? ?????
I’ll start off with the wine selection that was pretty extensive for a small shop. I picked out a Transylvanian Pinot Noir as a novelty item for my Halloween party. “Vampire”!
Next, I was in luck (since it is not always available) that they had the lox I like. ??? ???? ????
This time the woman behind the counter was friendly and offered to tell me about how good this salmon is and how they get it shipped up from NY and her husband goes down to NY himself to try out products they choose to carry in the store.

I’d like to make a note since someone on the previous post assumed I am ignorant to Russian culture not being as warm and friendly as others but I assure you, being of Russian decent I’m aware of it. As a little girl I could be very intimidated by my own bubbie (who grew up in Russia), she just wasn’t the rainbow and unicorn type and that’s fine. I was pleasantly surprised this time by the people though and now I look forward to going back.
Walking through the downtown library, I saw a nice display of Halloween products made by the old Dennison paper product factory here in Framingham.
I thought it was interesting to see these old designs. ????? From what I saw the displayed peices were dated from 1918-30’s. ?? ??? ???????? ?? ???????? Just something worth checking out if you’re in the library. ???? ??? ???????
The old (and ugly) building that was once Janitor’s Warehouse at the corner of Concord and Aberdeen (and Rt. ivermectin and cancer 9) has finally been torn down.
You’d think there would be some permits issued for this but I looked up the address and nothing has been issued since 2005. ivermectin paste for lungworm in calf In fact, there are only three permits ever issued on the building at all (according to the permit and licence look-up onthe town website) so maybe something is just off in the record keeping.
I have no idea what could be going on for this site, but I’m pretty sure whatever it is will be better than that boarded up old building. joseph varon ivermectina
