[framcom] Snow/Roof Rake

December 22nd, 2008

We usually have a large ladder but had to give it back to my in-laws and
realised we have no way of getting the snow off our roof! We have searched
hardware stores in the area for a roof/Snow rakebut of course they are all
out right now.

I was wondering if anyone had a Roof Rake I could borrow for a few hours
just to get us through until the next storm (we should hopefully be able to
get a rake by then.
Thanks in advance!

Reporting for duty

December 21st, 2008

I decided to take a little walk to the mall today.  I got too far when I realised how dumb of an idea this was to not finish my journey, but I was impressed with the plow readiness and the number of plow I saw through out my trek.
Rt. 9 looked pretty good at 9:30am and on the walk back I took route 3o and saw a few plows in pairs going by.

Sidewalks were not plowed but I walked in the sometimes knee-deep snow when I felt it was unsafe.
It was an interesting experience that I’ll probably wait another year until I do this again.
