An alternative to corporate coffee coming soon!
March 25th, 2008
I doubt Starbucks will fret but, across the street from the Starbucks (by Whole Foods) at the “Ski Market” plaza on Rt. 9 will be an upscale coffee shop. The “coming soon” sign is up and I know they’ve been putting a lot of work into the interior so I’m excited to have a coffee shop nearby that is neither StarB’s or Dunkins and a small business. I’ll be sure to post when they open and I make a visit there.
Another great place to get a great non-corporate cup of coffee is Annies Book Stop in Nobscot. Coffee, books, a gallery, and wifi — what more to do you need?

I live right next door in the Granada and just noticed this place on Friday. I will definitely go there, though the last bussines to occupy that space didn’t fare well

Excellent news … nice to see another good coffee shop in town. Anyone know who owns it? Are they local?
I second the Annie’s Book Stop/Espresso Paulo opinion above.

I look forward to checking this place out — we most certainly do need a “third party” in our coffee landscape. I wonder, though, just how small this may be; out of curiosity I looked online to see if any more info about Panache existed: http://www.coffeebeanintl.com/coffeehouses/index.php
Regardless, let’s hope they do well.

I stopped by there yesterday, They did a good job converting the bank to someplace you want to hang out. On the bad side is they don’t have regular cups, only paper cups, I know it takes a lot of extra work to have those but I would really enjoy going there and getting a few cups while I was hanging out.
The latte was good, better than starbucks I think, the people behind the counter were sorta clueless, but I think they will figure it out. they didn’t really have any food, but it looks like in the future they will have muffins purchased from somewhere (bj’s perhaps). I didn’t have the regular coffee though.
They have WifFi and a printer but I don’t know if its free or not.
I will definitely go back though, still wish they had REAL cups, not just paper cups.

I went there yesterday, had an iced coffee. Best I’ve ever had.
