Article in the MWDN

Some of you may have seen the article in the MetroWest Daily News about bloggers today. I got a little blurb in there at the end.
I can bet no one even noticed or cared that in my picture at the bottom, I look too serious.Â
I just wanted to point out that this was the 200th take because I could not stop laughing. It was so weird to have a camera in my face while I pretended to type. The poor photographer, he was such a good sport and so patient with me while I kept bursting out in laughter. It was like the more I tried to forget about the camera the more I thought about it and felt ridiculous and then the giggling fit would ensue. I finally tried biting the inside of my cheek and he snapped this photo right before I started laughing again.I just wanted to point that out since everyone else looks laidback and I look like I’m typing about conspiracy theories. Anyway, it was nice they did the article and to read about other bloggers. Thanks Claudia and Mark.
Great publicity. I’ve found that Whole Foods Market is eminently bloggable — visit if you get a chance. I talk about the ‘ham location quite often.

Excellent PR! When I was a 16-year-old kid (in Framingham of course) I ran one of the first Bulletin Board Systems (BBS’s). It was sort of a predecessor to the internet. The MetroWest News (then Middlesex News) did a story on me and the BBS, called “Welcome to the World of the Hacker.” Even cooler that you get an article about you blogging - and then you can blog about it yourself. I could only share the story with the few others on the BBS, you get to share it with the world!
