Asia Buffet

We finally got around to going to Asia Buffet (motivated by Beth’s Bradlees comment) at 700 Worcester Rd.
I think they did a great job renovating the inside, as well as the outside.
We got the buffet but they do have a full menu you can order from too.Â
I liked the variety and presentation of the food. The food wasn’t like blow-me-away amazing but not disappointing and I’d say the quality of the food was above avarage compared to most places.  They also have a Japanese side with salads and sushi. There are 3 or 4 soups to choose from and a dessert area too.

If you’re looking for a cheap lunch though, this isn’t the place. The lunch buffet is $16 (found out from a comment below that without sushi is $10.50-thanks Laraine!) and I don’t know how much dinner would be but I get the sense they jazz up the selections for dinner.Â
Oh also nice were the higher quality “wet naps” with the check.
The staff was very polite, and there are 3 people who would keep an eye on the food and replace dishes as needed. I would recommend Asia Buffet, I hope they do okay.
 ** I recently found out that the server now explains the prices at the table and you tell them if you’re getting sushi or not.

Wow, I’m impressed with how the food looks. Not what I would have expected.
Have you ever been to Imperial China on Rt. 9, across from the State Police barracks? They have in my opinion the best sushi and Chinese food in Framingham… not to mention the best drink in Framingham, the SPECIAL Mai Tai!

Thanks for the review, Michelle. Everything looks good, but $16 for a lunch buffet sounds a bit steep to me, anyway. We like Imperial China, too, or the Szechuan Gourmet, which is also on Route 9.

Yeah the $16 price makes this a once in a while type place. I guess they figure for the variety, plus unlimited sushi and japanese dishes it may be worth it.
Yes, Imperial China is fantastic and a reliable place for consistantly good food. Their chicken and eggplant is awesome.

Wow! That buffet definitely looks a little more upscale than others I have been too. Most things on a Chinese buffet look better than they taste though.
I remember when this mall was called “Deerskin Plaza.” I’ve seen this building house restaurants from italian places to Tony Romas. Hopefully something will stick in this location.
On a side note, my uncle Loren used to own the Optical View which is in the part of the plaza with the ski shop. He sold the business to one of his employees a couple of years ago, but it’s still a great place to buy glasses and contact lenses if you have a need.

Just had lunch there today – AND, they changed their pricing for lunch! Without sushi it is only $10.50 – much better than $16.00

Looking forward to giving this place a try — thanks for the tasty looking photos! I guess I need to give Imperial China another try though. Everyone seems to love that place. But my wife and I had the worse mu shu vegetable of our entire lives from that place for takeout last year.

I agree with Tim. My husband and I go to Imperial and I get Sushi and he gets Chinese. We sit at the bar and listen to the piano music…it is great. And Tina,she is the owner, she is the best

Tina is very nice, and I love how on St. Patrick’s Day they have a big Irish party, complete with Corn Beef and Cabbage. What other Chinese place does that?

I just try it on last sat. their price is drop down and for week day dinner is only 21.95 now, (minado is 26) and the sushi is the best in new england, because their sushi is make to order, and it is including with buffet, and they have more choice than minado, the service is great too.
