Finally (hopefully)
February 23rd, 2008
I was looking through recent permits posted on the town website (yes, I actually do that) and saw that there was a permit issued this week for something called “Old Station Steak House” at the old train station.I really hope (and from the name of the place it sounds like) this will be a business that will embrace the station’s history. I hate seeing this building just sitting around unused.I haven’t been in there since it was Ebenizer’s, never got to it when it was the Indian restaurant. A Brazilian buffet was slated to open up here but somehow never did, I think something else tried too. Anyway, Ethan did a nice guest-post about it if anyone missed it and wants to read a little more about the building.
Is this, pray tell, a sign of the “downtown renaissance”?
Now if only the real estate market comes back and Dennison and the Arcade start selling.
Anyone else hear any solid rumors about the Salvation Army relocating?

Please, no more Brazillian places! I am all about cultural diversity. But enough already. A steak house would be GREAT! It would bring a little class to that area.

This new Brazilian place was gonna be Cafe Belo. We used to have one downtown it was bought Terra Brasilis.
This vacant place is called Idupu Bhavan or something, then the Cafe Belo owner returned to Framingham and bought it and painted the roof. Turns out Idupu Bhavan was a historical building, so he couldnt paint it. Guess he gave up.
It was a stupid idea anyway. There are TWO Terra Brasilis Restaurants down the street!
By the way, when will you review Terra Brasilis? They have a website, you know. I could get you a meal for free
