Hot Dog Trolley

December 11th, 2006

On 135 across from La Cantina is “Trolley Dogs”.  Sorry, I didn’t think of taking a better picture of the whole trolley but if you drive by there you’ll see it in the parking lot.  It’s open for lunch from 11-4 and closed on Sundays.

They also have other items besides hot dogs.  I think it is in some way owned by La Cantina and the trolley offers La Cantina’s great minestrone soup.

I just got a simple hot dog. Pretty good, basic hot dog and the guy in the trolley was really cheerful and friendly, which is always nice.

I think this is great to have in this area for a quick bite.

  2. i treated the whole family there after a fall saturday afternoon soccer game. come to find out, i must have been the last customer. a gentlemen who didn’t speak very good English (surprise) took our order. well, unsolicitedly, he provided two dogs in each bun (in his mind throwing us a bone) with so much mustard!!! it was NOT a good experience. let alone, it was quite pricey. i’ll stick to hometown hotdogs or casey’s.

  3. Excellent Business.! Cheerful guy running the show, many variations of the Hot Dog. Price is reasonable, not cheap, not outrageous.
I’ll be back - it’s great to have a choice of local businesses over the MacDonald’s of the world! Try ‘em, you’ll like ‘em!

  4. The place closed around mid Oct. The bartender from LaCantina said an investor plulled out. The Trolly cart is for sale. I thought the dogs were a little pricy and service was slow. The menu was to ambitious should stick to dogs but liked sitting at the tables watching the traffic roll by. I’m sure someone will approach the restaurant to reopen. Great location.
