I didn’t even get to say goodbye

A true Framingham tragedy! In December this Friendly’s on Union Ave closed all of the sudden. I drove by it on my way home one day and the sign read “Thank you Framingham” and was shut down. I never even got to have a farewell Fribble!
This stinks because it was in walking distance of my house and on a hot day after doing hours of yard work there was no greater reward than walking down the street to get a well-deserved cone.
Hopefully this won’t become an addition to the many vacant stores in Framingham but nothing seems to be happening with it.

I live within walking distance, too, and I can vouch that EVERY person who’s discussed this with me is not only upset that Friendlys closed, but also that the site will no longer be used by a restaurant.
Supposedly a mosque will be opening on the site.
This stinks, because the location is much better suited for selling food (and giving the Marian High kids a safe place to hang out in between classes and activities) than it is for conducting religious services.
So nobody’s happy that a mosque is opening there . . . um, except for the mosquitoes, that is.

will someone please open a homemade hard ice cream shop in down town or framingham center….speaking of, i miss Al at the Baskin and Robins in Nobscott. he gave the chinsy-est scoops, but i miss him.

That sucks! 4 years at Marian and Fribbles during dances…along with some other “beverages”. Good bye Friendly’s!

That sucks! I spent many hours in there creating ice cream sundaes and flipping hamburgers! It wasn’t my first job but I really liked it and the manager trained me in each job category. Mmm Black raspberry.
