Mothers & More Open House

October 13th, 2008

The Framingham Area Chapter of Mothers & More is having an open house this Thursday, October 16th, from 7-9 pm at Whimsy (in the Ski Market Plaza).
Mothers & More is a non-profit group whose mission is dedicated to improving the lives of mothers through support, education and advocacy.
These were the good people who held a women’s self defence class for anyone to go to -for free.  I’m not a mom but I appreciate their efforts and contributions to women in our community.
For more information check out their website at: http://www.mothersandmoreframingham.com/

  1. Michelle,
Thanks so much for the shout out! ;o) Just wanted you to know that you don’t have to be a Mom to join us or drop into one of our discussion meeting or Mom’s Night Outs. As long as you agree with and support all the hard work Mom’s do, both paid and unpaid, we’d love to have you and anyone else for that matter!
Keep on rockin’ on behalf of the Ham =)

  2. I started following your blog several weeks ago after another Mothers & More member recommended it. I don’t even live in Framingham (I’m in Natick), but I love seeing the town through your eyes. Keep up the great work!

  3. Hi Michelle,

Thanks for including our event on your blog. I read your blog on a regular basis so it’s cool to see something I’m a part of on here! The Mothers and More Open House is always a fun event - a chance for local moms to get to know each other and find out more about our organization. Lots of great door prizes, too! I’m the coordinator for the event and I’d be happy to answer anyone’s questions at alisakz@yahoo.com. Thanks!

  4. Michelle,

Thanks for posting about us! We believe that
    Mothers & More helps mothers:

    *focus on themselves
    *connect with other mothers
*deal with society’s assumptions about mothers

And, as Kim said, we welcome all, as long as you support the work that all moms do. We have a meeting coming up on dealing with stress along with a guided meditation on 10/29. More information is on our website!

  5. Michelle,
Thanks so much for including our recent Open House in your blog. I’m sure you had a huge impact on the overwhelming success of the event, and now even more moms in the MetroWest area, as new members of Mothers & More, are going to benefit from being a part of our wonderful organization. Thank you!
