New Produce Market coming
July 25th, 2009
Driving by the Trolley Square plaza today I saw a new produce market is moving in where Corner’s framing used to be. I think this is great, pretty bold for moving within walking distance of Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s, as well as the Indian market right in the same plaza but that leads me to think this will offer something different either in variety of merchandise or price.
Of course I would have loved to see this move into Sad Plaza or for the folks up in Nobscot, to their plaza but I’ll be interested to check this out when it opens and see what have.
Wonderful! Can’t wait for it to open.
Trader Joes has many things to recommend it, but the produce isn’t one of them. Market Basket in Ashland has excellent produce at good prices, but isn’t close to my house. Whole Foods has excellent produce at high prices, and I feel like I’m paying for the pergo flooring every time I go. This store may be the happy medium.
Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, it would have been nice to move into the Nobscot plaza. I have to say Sad plaza is a new one to me, but sounds applicable. A Russian market would be very interesting. I love how diverse Framingham is.

I saw this the other day too and am very excited to have a new produce choice here in the ‘Ham. I typically buy my produce from the GOL Market, they have pretty decent prices and for the most part it seems to be very fresh. I also love it because I can just swing over and get a fresh slice of pie before or after my shopping is completed.

Hopefully it will have US grown produce. I usually turn to BJ’s and Stop & Shop when our CSA and farmer’s markets are done for the season. It would be nice to have another option (besides Whole Paycheck).

I just checked it out today, and although they don’t have much produce from the US, they have many fruits that cannot be found here, like the star fruit, persimmons, prickly pear cactus fruit, very interesting, and their bananas were 39 cents a pound, so I spent 5 bucks there after coming back from whole foods, and next time I think I will go to this market first, then whole foods…
