Nobscot’s
July 11th, 2007
Since a few people suggested Nobscot’s (847 Egdell Rd.) for their lobster roll we decided to go check it out. Â
The roll was pretty good, better than the ones we had at Legal Seafood and at $12.99, a much better deal.  I love steak fries so that was a bonus.
Service was a bit slow with one waitress in the dining room, although I’ve been told from other people that is not uncommon to wait at your table for a while. It is nice to have a small neighborhood restaurant with good food and fair prices. I’d definitely go back again but probably not if I was trying to make it to a movie.
I’ve been to the Nobscot Cafe quite a few times. They’re specials are always very good. My brother’s favorite are the steak tips. Service is always slow, and I mean s-l-o-w. The bar gets hopping at night and there’s a local band (Taylor Made) that plays there once a month or so who are excellent.

That lobster roll looks pretty good, so do the fries! Gonna have to check it out. I’m going to plug Goody’s Pizza again, tell Sam that Scott sent you!

Burger Night is on Mondays after 5pm. All burgers are $3.79 and the wings are a quarter. The daily black board specials are always excellent. The service is generaly on the slow side but that’s not always the waitstaff’s fault, there is only one cook. The waitresses are a lot of fun and easy to get to know. This is definitely a laid back place to hang out eat good food (at a great price), watch a game on the big screen TV’s and have a laugh with a bunch of familiar faces. As it’s menu boasts: it is truely “Framingham’s Best Kept Secret”.

Nobscot’s is a great place to have a large dinner party at. We had my aunt’s 40th birthday there and everyone is still talking about the food. I was pleasantly surprised by the bill considering we fed 20 people! It’s a favorite place of mine to frequent. I love to sit at the bar and chat with the bartender.

Scott, I tried Goody’s Pizza on a recommendation —
Y.. U.. C.. K.. ! It was the definition of mediocre. Gianni’s, ’nuff said. Alternatively, Bertucci’s Shrimp Bella Napoli Pizza is amazing!

Can you get a burger cooked to order on “burger night”? Ever since Friday’s stopped making burgers any rarer than medium, I haven’t found a decent, relatively inexpensive place to get a good medium-rare or rare burger!

Hmm is anyone else encountering problems with the images on this blog loading? I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog. Any responses would be greatly appreciated.|
