Padaria Bakery

July 6th, 2007

Someone has strongly suggested I try the cheese ball type pastry at the Brazilian Padaria Bakery.  They have two locations: 165 Concord St and 63 Hollis St.
I went to the one on Concord St., since it was on my way to work, and got a cheesball thing.  I heated it up at work and it was okay, not as cheesy as I thought but a light puff-type pastry.

Even though I find the language barrier a little intimidating (I always do) the person behind the counter was nice enough and it was a pleasant transaction.  The place was very clean too, when I’m feeling adventurous I’ll try some other things there as well. I just don’t usually think of going there.

  1. The fact that no one put a commemt on here pretty much shows what alot of people think about the Brazilians and what has happened to downtown….

  2. Calling it “Padaria Bakery” is redundant, as “padaria” is Portuguese for bakery.

And to the person above me, keep your bigotry to yourself - the Brazilian community faces enough hardship as it is, and they don’t need all the adversity and insensitivity that they have to deal with seemingly all the time.
