Sabrina Wong III
July 18th, 2007
I haven’t been to Sabrina Wong III (Nobscot Plaza) since high school when I’d hang out with my cousin Naomi, who lived in Nobscot. On various Fridays nights my sister and I would come over and we’d get Chinese food from Sabrina Wong. This is where I had my first crab rangoon from!
For the sake of variety we decided to travel “up north” and get take out from here.
We ordered sesame beef, fried shrimp, pad thai and of course crab rangoon.

Everything was really good and the people working there were very friendly when taking our order.
We didn’t expect great pad thai from here and it was okay, it didn’t really taste like it should, but its was still decent as a miscellaneous noodle dish.
The fried shrimp were huge and it wasn’t all batter, the sesame beef was tasty and the crab rangoons were great. At some places rangoons can be dried out but these were perfect.
This was a good place to get take out from and I’d say it’s worth driving up from downtown for.
I would go to sabrina wongs alot and they are good but a new place around the corner named yummy tummy opened up and they have better prices and i think better chinese food…

Yummy Tummy has changed (hands) name. Had the food last weekend and it was good.

I used to love the combo plates from SW 3. I remember one that had fried shrimp, beef terrayaki, and fried rice.

Sabrina’s has always had consistently good food but they tend to knit pick. If you want to substitute chicken fingers for the boneless spareribs, it’s $1 extra. If you want chicken & onions instead of beef & onions, it’s $1 extra. Yummy Tummy will be more competition for them once people realize that it’s tucked next to Nobscot Cafe. Yummy’s isn’t as strict about substituting. Also, Sabrina’s has a $15 minimum for delivery with a $3 delivery charge; Yummy’s has a $10 minimum with a $1.50 delivery charge.

Wow - we really haven’t been there in forever. Those were the good old days hanging with Nay & Seth and going to Sabrina’s and whatever else was in that plaza

Glad to hear Sabrina Wong III is worth trying. I haven’t been there in probably 15 years. Haven’t gone since we realized their dishes used to be approximately 50% celery, no matter what we
ordered.
But from the photo and descriptions, it looks like they may have mended their ways.
