Slade Animal Hospital

It was time to take our cat, Clyde to the vet for the first time since we’ve had him. I go by Slade all the time and figured it was close and looked like a nice building so we brought him there.

The inside was nice and clean and didn’t like some other vet offices I’ve been in. The receptionist was really nice and there is plenty of seating so we sat clyde down (in his carrier) where he meowed and stared at some dogs until the doctor was ready to see him.

The doctor was nice and honest, I didn’t feel like she tried to talk us into any shots or treatments Clyde didn’t need and was cool and patient with Clyde even though he wasn’t at his most charming.
I was happy with our experince here (although I can’t say the same for Clyde) and it helps to only have a 2 minute drive since Clyde hates the car too.
My Fiance is a vet student at Tufts Vet, and we live down the road from Slade (across the road and down the block), so we just walk to Slade with our cats in their carriers. They’re always clean and concise, and have never set off the vet students BS sensors, so they get a thumbs up from us!

Wonderful! I live down the street from Slade, too, and I agree that it is a lovely building.
So I wanted to give you a heads-up on some interesting activity going on in the Framingham area - If memory serves (though I could be imagining this), you did a piece on the rarely-used Civic League a while back? Well, Allen Adrien Events, LLC (whatever that is) has teamed up with purevolume.com and is hosting a series of pop-punk, post-hardcore, scenester-y concerts on Fridays at the Civic League. Amazingly, big names like the Ataris and Sugarcult are among the headliners. You can find more information at http://www.aaeconcerts.com/main.php?p=home
I remember a few years ago, when The Receiving End of Sirens played at the Civic League, and the entirety of downtown exploded with scenester activity for an evening. It was downright surreal. Needless to say, I’m very excited about this, and even though I’m not a huge fan of any of the bands slated to play, I intend to be there at every concert, if only to encourage more bands to consider the Civic League as a legitimate venue. In that vein, would you be able to mention this in an upcoming thisisframingham article? I’m not a promoter (I haven’t even been in contact with AAE), but I know I can’t be the only Framinghamer that comes here for info on what’s new in town.

Slade is OK but they are very expensive compared to other vets. Framingham AH on Edgell Rd is very good and somewhat less expensive.

We’ve been going to Slade for years and have had very good experiences with them. Another thumbs up from me.

Thumbs up from us too! We had to have a spay/neuter done and called around for pricing, they were the best and I was very happy with the place, the staff and the vet! =)
