Take out coming soon
December 29th, 2007
Passing by the dearly departed Hurwitz Kosher Meat Market I noticed a “coming soon” sign. I’m not sure what kind of food JOA take-out will serve. It would be nice if it’s something I really like but I’ll check it out either way. I thought it was interesting that on the permit it states there will be 50 seats. I don’t know how they would even fit 6 seats. There is no mention or permits for the vacant space next door but I guess we’ll see what they have planned.
Ooo… I can walk there. I hope they have something vegan.

The permit for the restaurant was taken out by someone named Carmen Queiroz. Don’t want to stereotype (I did learn something from all those years watching Welcome Back Kotter - Thanks Juan!) but I am pretty sure that is a Portuguese name. So sorry to disappoint those hoping for Thai or Korean, but my money is on Brazilian. Framingham could use a good Brazilian restaurant too though, right?

Ah, if only it were a Vietnamese restaurant. The nearest good Vietnamese I know about is in Needham, although we usually end up having to go to Boston or Cambridge.

There is a great Vietnamese place in Leominster called A Taste of Vietnam:
814 N Main St # 3
Leominster, MA 01453
(978) 466-5991
They are very nice people too with great food/prices. not that the ‘ham is close to Leominster, but if you are cruising North Central MA, keep it in mind!
