The economy has hit
February 18th, 2009So…the national news has hit home and I got laid off from my job. I feel like such a statistic, but the only thing to do is brush myself off and get reacquainted with the job search process.  I figured it would be worth a shot to post my resume here and if anyone knows of anything that fits my experience, please feel free to contact me.
My educational background is in the Arts but since I have a mortgage to keep up with, most of my professional background is in Project Management, Office Management and Event Coordination. I also dabble in IT support (since it just became part of my former jobs).  I specialize in people and organization skills. I’ve worked in corporate, higher education and non-profit environments. Also, I’m looking for a full-time position.
Below is just a quick image of my resume but I have included links to Word and PDF versions. Thanks in advance for any leads!

Darn, sorry to hear it Michelle. Best of luck in your search.

Hi Michelle, so sorry to hear you were downsized. I will keep my eyes and ears open for you. Also make sure you are on facebook, if you aren’t already. It’s such a huge network that has helped some of my friends in the same predicament.

Sorry to hear about the layoff, I joined that club last month.
Facebook isn’t all that great for job seekers, Linkedin is a much better resource in that regard.

Bummer, so sorry. Seems like I hear about someone else being out of work daily. I hope work finds you soon!

Does this mean you can update more now!

Sorry to hear that. My husband also lost his job. We are just praying to find something so we don’t wind up moving back in with the parents (across the country).
I hope you find something.

So sorry Michelle. I know how you feel. You are in good company. You have IT skill that should be very useful. Of all the job postings ones requiring IT skills seem to be the most popular. Good luck!
