Wal-Mart not cheap enough?
November 30th, 2006
The past few days of the police log have yielded a string of reports of people trying to get even better deals at the Framingham Wal-Mart. Not many reports of stealing at any other stores. Is there something about Wal-Mart that is appealing to shoplifters?

Not to sound like I don’t like Walmart, but when you compare the shopping experience with Target, I think you’ll agree that Target offers a much more pleasant store. Not only are the aisles in Target wide enough, but you usually don’t have much of a wait for checkout.
Maybe the shoplifters got tired of waiting in the lines.

But Target doen’t employ a “Greeter” to give you a shopping cart when you enter the store.
Or maybe the greeter is there to watch for shoplifters.

Walmart reminds me of Ames. You’d always stand in a line of about 4 people for what seemed like forever. Shopping Target is almost a calming experience compared with Walmart. Try it, you’ll see.

you keep a close eye on the police reports, i see. bah walmart, as Dave points out, it’s too crowded. Target is good but they don’t have as much stuff as walmart, which may explain why walmart is tight space-wise. wasn’t there a Bradlees before?
