White Hardware- A “real” hardware store
January 28th, 2007
I feel like my mother that I add a “S” to the name “White” when think of this place (seems like it should be “White’s not just “White”)Â My mom sometimes adds a “S” to names that shouldn’t have it like calling Lechmere “Lechmere’s” (irrelevant now, I know, but that came to mind first).
The outside of the building boasts the slogan “A ‘real’ hardware store”. I’m not a hardware expert but it seems that this is true. They are a no-frills hardware store. can you put ivermectin in cats ears  I get what I want and then there is no reason to make a day of it so I leave. I compare it to Home Depot in the way that there is not 10,000 sq. foot garden center to walk around in, there are no “you-can-do-it!” classes and no Dunkin Donuts at the entrance. liquid ivermectin heartworm prevention
Not to mention the refreshingly small but always adequate parking lot, although one of the plusses about White Hardware is that it is walkable from my house.
I think the staff is generally nice, the first time I went in there I remember it was not a pleasant experience but then I had to get something else there and the people were friendly. oral ivermectin for finches  This was the case the second and third time I went in there so I’ll chalk up my first experience as a random bad day.
They have been very helpful with suggestions and this store is nice to have around when I’m not in the mood to battle Rt. 9 on a weekend, remember what row I parked in and wander through the warehouse of Home Depot, although sometimes I am. Sometimes I’m actually in the mood for looking at 20 versions of the same product but it’s also nice to have something small close by that I can just run in and out of.
Robinson’s Ace in Pinefield should be mentioned also as a destination for hardware as well.

Michelle – it would be helpful if you listed the address of this business (and others as well) to make it easier to find. Thanks 🙂

Hi John,
Good point.
It’s on Franklin St. right next to the Franklin St. plaza.
I’ll try to be better about addresses but if I forget and you need to know an address before I happen to look at comments, business are listed in online yellow pages too. I will work on that though. Thanks for reading : )

I find this place essential, and also Monnick Supply in Framingham (and Marlboro). Compared to Home Depot, it’s so small inside you think they can’t possibly have what you want, but they always do. Don’t get me started on HD: for one thing, you have to plan on a visit taking at least an hour, no matter what you need; plus, they have absolutely everything – except the one particular thing you’re looking for at that moment. White and Monnick are gems.
BTW, just discovered your site; love it, will be back.
