Major work being done on the old Border’s book store next to Ken’s.

Unfortunately, work permits do not yield much information except the owner is “Hanna Enterprises” and got permission to “weld/cut staircase” and a sign permit that states “WALL SIGN – SPRINT”. ??????   I’m really hoping SPRINT means a type of sign or something because it would be such a waste to have a cell phone store take up that space. betobet   I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. ????? ????? ????? ?????

Nobscot’s

July 11th, 2007

Since a few people suggested Nobscot’s (847 Egdell Rd.) for their lobster roll we decided to go check it out.

The roll was pretty good, better than the ones we had at Legal Seafood and at $12.99, a much better deal.   I love steak fries so that was a bonus.
Service was a bit slow with one waitress in the dining room, although I’ve been told from other people that is not uncommon to wait at your table for a while.  It is nice to have a small neighborhood restaurant with good food and fair prices.  I’d definitely go back again but probably not if I was trying to make it to a movie.

What did they make this sticker out of?

July 10th, 2007

On the back side of a sign by the courthouse on Concord St. is an old sticker for WZOU.  This station wasn’t Framingham based (and all my pictures I was going to post about are on another computer but I wanted to post something today) but since it’s the only place I’ve seen a sticker for this 14 year old-dead radio station (the call letters anyway) I thought it was worth pointing out. ???? ????   Particularly impressive is the condition of this sticker, although I guess someone could have been hanging on  to a an old sticker for years and decided to stick on a random sign but there is enough bleaching to figure it’s been there for a while. ???? ???? ??? ????
WZOU was one of three stations I listened to in the 80’s, (WZOU, KISS 108 and my favorite, WHTT 103)
Here’s a WZOU playlist from February 1986 incase anyone is interested and a little listen to WZOU towards the end featuring a commercial for the now defunct MVP Sports where the woman with a thick Boston accent tells you there are “All-stah savings”.

Trader Joe’s

July 7th, 2007

There’s no too much to say about Trader Joe’s except that it’s fantastic. I love having it nearby, and we’re lucky to have it in Framingham.  I guess the produce isn’t phenomenal but they really shine with their frozen, dry and canned goods.  Another nice thing are their brand name items like their Habenero and Lime salsa that Ethan always has a jar of in the house and their frozen, breaded tilapia that is always good for a an I-don’t-feel-like-cooking night.

Trader Joe’s is also where I go when I want to bring something to a party.  Any of their frozen hors d’oeuvres or desserts are great (chocolate covered cheesecake bites! does ivermectin kill covid-19 ) but they also have a nice selection of chips, crackers, cheeses, and dips.
Of course the “three-buck chuck” (Charles Shaw wine) is always good to pick up too. ivermectin 136mcg caps

My latest favorite discovery is the “Everything Pretzel Thins”, I don’t even like pretzels that much but these are addictive! ivermectin tumor treatment   The prices are reasonable and in general the people there are very pleasant.  You wonder how on a crazy Saturday of endless lines they can be so cheery but somehow they do it.

Metro-west renowned foodie, Scott, has nice blog with a “tuesday’s tastings” sections of various Trader Joe’s products at http://onefoodguy.blogspot.com/.  Scott also started the campaign for TJ’s to bring back the Tofu and Spinach Egg Roll if anyone is interested.

Trader Joe’s: A definite “yay” for Framingham.

Padaria Bakery

July 6th, 2007

Someone has strongly suggested I try the cheese ball type pastry at the Brazilian Padaria Bakery.  They have two locations: 165 Concord St and 63 Hollis St. ivermectin shampoo uses
I went to the one on Concord St. 1.87% ivermectin , since it was on my way to work, and got a cheesball thing. ivermectin practo   I heated it up at work and it was okay, not as cheesy as I thought but a light puff-type pastry.

Even though I find the language barrier a little intimidating (I always do) the person behind the counter was nice enough and it was a pleasant transaction.  The place was very clean too, when I’m feeling adventurous I’ll try some other things there as well. I just don’t usually think of going there.
