I just saw this article from the MWDN. Incase it gets archived, Here is it is:
Man reported exposing himself at beach
By Norman Miller/ Daily News Staff
Tuesday, August 8, 2006 FRAMINGHAM — Police say that beachgoers Saturday waited for 40 minutes before calling 911 about a man who tried to touch young girls at Learned Pond and fondled himself on the beach.”A 40-minute time frame is far too long,” said police spokesman Lt. Paul Shastany. “As soon as anyone sees anyone doing anything suspicious, call the police. Don’t assume someone else will do it. Police arrested Romany Mikhail, 19, at 12:39 p. ????? ???? 2022 m. as he rode his bike away from the beach, but Shastany said people should have called police immediately. “This guy was a crime waiting to happen, and he belonged in our Police Department cell,” Shastany said.Shortly after 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Officer Owen Babineau was dispatched to the beach, Shastany said. There, the head lifeguard and several other people said they saw a man, later identified as Mikhail, arrive on his bicycle. When he got off the bike, they noticed he was fully aroused as he jumped into the lake.
“They noticed he would continually go near a little girl as he swam,” Shastany said. When Mikhail of 72 Hartford St. got out of the water, people said they saw him trying to sneak up behind teenage girls and touch their backs, Shastany said.
No one called police until several people saw Mikhail masturbating on the beach, Shastany said. ???? ????? ??????? “Several people reported the same observances,” Shastany said.
Mikhail was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior and open and gross lewdness.
Mikhail was scheduled to be arraigned in Framingham District Court yesterday, but the arraignment was postponed until Friday because Mikhail needed an Arabic translator. Â He was released without bail until then. ????? ?? ?????? ???? ????? ”
Is it me or does it seem totally outrageous that this guy was not only a total creepoid, trying to touch girls and then actually masturbated on the beach but now is back on the streets without even paying bail because he doesn’t speak english?
Plus it’s amazing it took 40 minutes of watching this guy, with a hard-on as soon as he got there, trying to touch girls for anyone to call the cops. If he didn’t jerk-off he would have been there all day?
It’s one time I actually wish this lady was there.

Last night we were walking by the Exxon Station at Hartford and Concord St. and I guess I haven’t been paying attention (as a bike commuter) but $2.95 a gallon is a great deal because people were lined up. We walked by later and there were still cars lined up and holding up traffic to get in there. I’m guessing it could have gone up by this morning but if anyone is in the area you could check it out and get some cheap(er) gas.

Some of you may have seen the article in the MetroWest Daily News about bloggers today. I got a little blurb in there at the end.
I can bet no one even noticed or cared that in my picture at the bottom, I look too serious.
I just wanted to point out that this was the 200th take because I could not stop laughing. It was so weird to have a camera in my face while I pretended to type. The poor photographer, he was such a good sport and so patient with me while I kept bursting out in laughter. It was like the more I tried to forget about the camera the more I thought about it and felt ridiculous and then the giggling fit would ensue. I finally tried biting the inside of my cheek and he snapped this photo right before I started laughing again.I just wanted to point that out since everyone else looks laidback and I look like I’m typing about conspiracy theories. Anyway, it was nice they did the article and to read about other bloggers. Thanks Claudia and Mark.

Today we went to the Learned Pond beach and the ice cream man was there. We don’t get one in our hood and I was so excited to see the truck, but about 20 minutes earlier we had got frappes at Gerard Farms so as much as I wanted to go up to the window and order a hoodsie or a screwball, I just couldn’t manage it. Although we did end up getting a treat in that the beach was not crowded at all. I’m guessing because of the on and off rain we had today.Last time we went to Learned Pond, it was an absolute zoo. The water was crowded, people were ignoring the lifeguards who we heard yelling repeatedly, “Stop doing that!”. Then there was a little confrontation with a kid’s mom and the lifeguards.
I guess this girl was told to stop doing something and she kept doing it so a lifeguard shouted for her to stop. Then the mother came stomping onto the docks and yelled “Hey! You don’t yell at my child like that, OKAY?” and the life guard explained that the girl had kept doing something she’s not supposed to and the mom (now accompanied by her friend who was chiming in too) said “You don’t yell at my child okay?? You have no right to yell at her! I’m the one that gave birth to her -OKAY?” This attracted more lifeguards and it went on for a few minutes. Just when I was expecting everyone in the water to start chanting “JER-RY, JER-RY!” it came to an abrupt end with the mother yelling “I’ll see you in court! OKAY??” and then she grabbed her kid by the hand and stomped off with her friend following her.
I could see that last statement making sense if the lifeguard wasn’t doing her job but I’m not sure why the mother was threatening her with court for doing what she was supposed to and enforcing beach rules. I give the lifeguards a lot of credit because on busy days that beach can be pretty unruly. We go there pretty much because we can walk to it, but we’re considering getting in the car and driving to a quieter beach.

At least Thursday night around 7pm it did. I thought it might be fun to check something I could actually walk to so I went to see a highschool metal band at the downtown common.
I got there and as I walked by the entrance of the park one of these guys slurred asked me why I was wearing pajamas (I wasn’t, I swear!) and then 5 minutes later this guy stumbled up to me mumbling about something and then made a point to tell me “white women suck”. Oh downtown!
There were tables set up to enter raffles and whatnot. Starbucks gave away free treats and I got a recycle sticker. The band was ok, I’m not 18 and I don’t listen to metal, not that I was expecting Gordon Lightfoot but my ears could only handle so much and didn’t stay for the whole concert.
These guys had a good time performing and it was such nice night out, I was happy for the band to be playing for people and for downtown to have something going on at the common. I’ll try to go next week to see whoever is playing. ????? ???? ??????? ??? ???? On the way home I saw a Friendly’s cup on the ground. Friendly’s has been closed for 6 months! ??? ?????? ??????? 2023 ???? Where did this surface from? I guess it could have been thrown out of a car coming from Temple Street. black jack Just a sad reminder of how Friendly’s has forsaken downtown : (

I was just reading this article in the MWDN about how the old Friendly’s on Union Ave was bought by the Islamic Society of Framingham and will become a Mosque.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not anti-Muslim but pro-business (even more so if it serves ice cream).
The article states that the planning board will have to approve a change-of-use permit. How does that work? If it’s already purchased, can the town deny a non-business purpose for a property in a business zone? ????? ???? Or is it just to make it official it’s a tax exempt property now and the mosque doesn’t really need approval. From the article: “If the change is approved, the move would mean another hit to the town’s tax rolls. ???? ?????? Friendly’s, which closed early this year, paid ,749 in property taxes for fiscal 2006. ???? 1xbet “
