Interesting ebay items
October 11th, 2006I was scanning through ebay and found these little gems. Anyone interested in old postcards of the real Shopper’s World might want to hop on ebay and bid on these beauties. (I won’t be bidding, I buy too many nick nacks!)

Wow, I’ve never seen the old Shoppers World before. This looks like a really cool place. A little too retro for the 1990″s I guess. Some updating would seem to make more sense. I can now see why you hate the new Shopper’s World so much. Now I miss the old Shoppers World and I have never been there.

Thanks for posting those great old postcard views of Shoppers World. There were so many memories for so many people. I remember seeing Rin Tin Tin there, as well as the Lone Ranger, and even Crazy Guggenheim who used to be on the old Jackie Gleason Show. A lot of people don’t remember that Sears was in the original Shoppers World. They had closed the store in downtown Framingham, which was in the block of stores that burned down in 1966 (now the parking lot of the Store 24).
When Natick announced the new Mall to be built around 1964, Sears moved again.
