The Framingham 14 will be playing the original Back to the Future film to celebrate the 25the 25th Anniversary. Show times are only once on October 23rd and 25th only. ????? ?????? I think it’s a great idea and thought it would be nice if they do that with more older movies. Anyway, if you’re looking to go back in time next Saturday (or the following Monday) you can check out the AMC website for the extremely limited showings of the film and buy tickets.

According to the realtor for this property, she has stated:” The FABRIC PLACE site will be reopened by the end of October. The name will be “Sewfisticated Discount Designer Fabrics”. The Framingham store will be the third location of a family operated business. The new website www.framinghamfabric.com will be online by Monday. (although it’s not as of today)
They will carry a complete selection of fabrics at deeply discounted prices including all types of apparel fabric, brand-name quilting cottons, high-end home decorating fabrics, and tons of trims, notions, ribbons, and crafts.”
I’m actually glad to see another fabric place move in because I stopped quilting when they left and hope to get inspired by a new place I can easily get to and hopefully it will be worth other sewers to travel out to it like they did with the old store.
Joanne’s is okay for the usual fabric needs but sometimes schlep to get to down rt.9. in Natick. Between this, the new appliance/furniture store, Limey’s and the soon-to-be-opened balloon design shop, it seems like downtown is picking up a little steam. It’s nice to be able to say that because yesterday I almost wrote a full rant about how much I hate downtownbut I’ll save that for another post when I have a day like I did yesterday. ivermectin maroc
Anyway, looks like things are picking up so I hope it continues to fill vacant stores with tax-paying businesses. ivermectin paste or injectable more effective for goats

The State Primary elections will be held tomorrow. Framingham always has a low turn out for voting and I know some people are not motivated to vote but I just thought I’d throw my 2 cents in and say I support Chris Walsh like I did last time he ran. I’ve actually got to know Chris in the past year since his office is right next to where I work and we’ve had some nice conversations about Framingham and I really feel like he’d be a great State Rep.
Also, last year Chris volunteered his time to help lug up the (seemingly) multi-ton Shopper’s World sign from the basement of the History Center- what could be more a reason to support a candidate? 🙂

You can check out Chris’ site for more info at http://www.electchriswalsh.com/
Happy voting and remember if you live in precinct 5, 6 or 9 your voting locations have changed this year. For more information on that click here.

It’s been a while since posting, I’ve just been so busy doing non-blogging stuff and getting the kids ready for school, it’s just been crazy. Okay, I don’t have any kids but for some reason posting has not made it on the list of things to do but maybe things will simmer down in the fall.
Also, this post is Natick related but still, it’s so gosh-darn close to the Framingham line and pretty exciting news I thought I’d post about it. A very nice reader sent me a note about Zaftigs Deliof Brookline opening another place in the former Joan & Ed’s spot in Sherwood plaza.
It is mentioned at the bottom of the Board of Selectmen article here: http://www.metrowestdailynews.com/top_stories/x2001473683/Natick-may-have-3M-left-from-2010-budget
I’m so excited, this place is great and I’m glad they thought of expanding to the metrowest area!

We were out taking a walk tonight and saw some of the new recycle bins that the town is in the process of delivering to each household. They’re pretty big but good for picking up every two weeks. The containers pictured above are the larger ones that I believe had to be requested and the standard 64 gallon bin are delivered to everyone else. In fact, when we got home from our walk the recycle bin fairy had stopped by our house and there was a shiny new bin waiting for us at the end of our driveway!
I think it’ll be fine but my friend Rev. Bob pointed out that this will be more of a challenge for the people who rummage through the bins in search of cans and bottles. I picture seeing legs sticking out of the tops of the bins every pick up day but we’ve been pretty lucky to have neat rummagers who make sure to put everything back so hopefully it’ll stay that way.
The new recycle schedule of picking up ever other week starts Sept 7th. For more infomation, check out the town website.
